I know that learning is easier when you have an personal instructor. I am passionate about aviation and the subjects we teach and will bring this enthusiasm into your lessons.
Are you a beginner, intermediate, licensed pilot, or somewhere in between? I offer classes at many levels. I offer Sport Pilot, Recreational Pilot, and Private Pilot ground training. We can also do single subject lessons to expand or enhance your knowledge.
Are you an Ultralight pilot and want lessons on a particular subject, like weather or airspace? Lessons can be tailored to suit your training needs.
I am a CFI-S and BGI, and can help you get your Light Sport Pilot Certificate. I have connections with two flight schools for Private Pilot and Sport Pilot in the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin areas for your flight training.
My fee is $30 per hour of instruction. If you are local and want me to travel to meet you somewhere, travel is free for the first 15 miles. After that mileage will be billed at the current national rate of 0.57 cents per mile up to a 40 mile limit from Delavan WI. Travel beyond this area will be considered on a case by case basis.
If you are local and want to travel to my office, training is provided at the regular hourly rate with no extra cost.
If you need me to travel to you, we will need a place with Wi-Fi and internet connections. We also will need a somewhat quiet place for our discussions. Libraries work well in most locations. I will bring all necessary printed materials to the lesson at no extra cost.
During the initial call we will discuss the details of how we are going to conduct the training. Flight lessons are conducted thru AeroSport in Greenwood IL.
In person lessons are my favorite, nothing like one on one instruction, but not everyone can do this.
Ground Lessons accomplished by a zoom type meeting are a good option. If you don't have a computer, you could possibly use a library computer. Your computer/printer must have scanning capability.
I do believe in the training materials produced by Gleim. It is solid reference materials and easy to use. You will be encouraged to use them as well.
